u'Gods. Those of us privileged to transcend our fragile and dirty mortality to a form of existence few can dream of are often likened to gods. Cloning, the hydrostatic pod, informorphism; these things hit the four empires like an apotheotic rapture--for mere thousands of minds amongst trillions.<br><br>What is keeping others so far below us? The ignorance of superstitions and pseudosciences, the greed of megacorporations, and the fear of governments reliant upon citizens living always in the shadow of death and yearning for those things kept carefully out of reach.<br><br>There exists no ethically sound reason for the Federation, the State, the Republic or the Empire to remain so mired in the squalor so clearly obsolesced by the paradigm of which we are not only the beneficiaries, but the vanguards.<br><br>It is our responsibility to enable the liberation of these people-\u2014these minds-\u2014and to secure the establishment of this paradigm; to not only supply, equip and defend those who have already come, but to prepare for those who have yet to come, and to fight those who would forever depress the already tormented flocks by denying them this privilege, this right for which humanity has forever striven.<br><br>It is our responsibility as gods.'
