The Graduate School of Applied Knowledge was founded by <a href="showinfo:2//1000019">Ishukone Corporation</a> as a means of attracting (poaching) some of the finest students from the <a href="showinfo:2//1000020">Lai Dai Corporation</a> controlled <a href="showinfo:2//1000044">School of Applied Knowledge</a>.<br><br>Lai Dai, not to take this corporate maneuvering lying down, moved rapidly to acquire shares in the fledgling corp, partially curtailing the move by Ishukone.<br><br>Further, Ishukone had placed Dex Kivuli in charge. While Kivuli was a promising young trader dedicated to the State - having spent time in both the Caldari Navy and the Caldari militia - he was more committed to Ishukone ideals (free trade) than the corporation itself.
