One Percent Tax brings security back to Planetary Interaction.

---

A message from the One Percent CEO:

Hello fellow indy pilots!

Like you, I started my EVE trial without really understanding what I was getting myself into. Hot out of character creation, I bought myself a ridiculously overpriced Badger and strapped a mining laser to it. After spending long afternoons in asteroid belts with very little ore to show for it, I set about finding other ways for a new player to make ISK in New Eden. After doing the tutorials (which really aren't very helpful) I turned my attentions towards Planetary Interaction. PI seemed like a pretty good option. I experimented with different planets and setups, and before long I had created the perfectly suited setup for my style of gameplay. Satisfied with my steady income, I began to focus on learning other aspects of the game. I met some wonderful people on my travels (and some not-so-wonderful people) but for the first time since I started playing, I was really beginning to enjoy the game.

And then, the inevitable happened...

Out came the latest expansion, and Player Owned Customs Offices were introduced. At first this wasn't such a big deal. CONCORD still had Customs Offices around a majourity of the planets in Empire Space and Low-Sec and as a result the taxes remained pretty much the same. As time went by however, larger and greedier corporations began to take all of these NPC Customs Offices down, and erect their own structures. With them came their ridiculous taxes. 10%, 20%, 30% taxes all of which were piled ontop of the CONCORD tax. Within a week of my planets falling under the control of the greedy, I had lost almost all of my profits. I found myself struggling just to keep my head above water. That was when I had an idea. I wanted to know if there were any corporations out there dedicated to preserving Planetary Interaction as a viable income. I searched high and low, but came up with naught. 'fine!' I said to my computer screen. 'If no one else will help, I'll do it myself!'

Dangerously low on ISK, I set about creating the very corporation I had failed to seek out. A corporation designed from the ground up to aid the many industrial pilots who were caught in the same predicament I myself was in. Setting myself up in a single back-water system with two Customs Offices (it was all I could afford at the time) I began my journey. To expand peacefully throughout the region and offer pilots new and old a way back to profit. The road has been long and wrought with countless issues ranging from in-game wars to real life troubles, but I made a promise and I was going to stick to it. To design and manage a fair, friendly, and easy to work with corporation with the single purpose of helping out my fellow PI-lots. (And maybe stick it to those greedy so-and-so's in the process!)

And thus, One Percent was born.

Samantha Planet
Chief Executive Officer

---

One Percent's Mission: To provide a fair alternative service to the many pilots who rely on Planetary Interaction.

---

The Working of One Percent

- One Percent provides a fair alternative to accessing the planets of New Eden without having to pay the unfair taxes of greedy corporations.

- Every pilot must pay a CONCORD tax on every shipment of planetary materials they send to, or from their planet. This tax standard is set at 10%, however you can lower this by training the Customs Code Expertise skill book. This will lower your tax by 1% each level you train.

- Player corporations remove the NPC Customs Offices and replace them with their own, forcing everyone who uses that planet to pay not only the CONCORD tax, but a ridiculously high tax that the corporation controls.

- One Percent will only ever charge you a tax of 1%. This is so we can cover our overhead costs, and continue our expansion throughout New Eden. That means with good skills, your taxes could be as low as 6%.

See you planetside!
