Less than Zero [LT0]

I see a universe full of potential, and I see it wasted. I see a so-called civilization filled with people who are slaves to their own personal needs. They would despoil their enviornments, kill each other, smother their children as they slept, if it would serve to further their own ambitions. Civilization lacking any real sense or form of civility.<br><br>We have nothing to make us stand out from our predecessors. We have no great war to define us and give us pause, to make us appreciate our existence. We have no great depression to force us to appreciate the things we surround ourselves with to make our short lives more comfortable. We have no great sea to overcome, to prompt us to appreciate those who walk with us during our short existences.<br><br>Let humanity defile itself, kill its young, destroy everything around it, until nothing but a smoldering ruin remains. I cannot invest myself into it any longer. There comes a time when every man must remove himself from what he sees as a cancer upon his people. I shall return to the hallowed grounds of Avalon, to await a time when the soil of New Eden is ready to be cultivated once more.
