**Take description with a grain of salt, Merchants Independant's endgame and purpose is still being refined and rethought! None of this is currently in effect.

Merchants Independant (or MINT) is an organization of couriers, miners, merchants, and much more. As the name suggests MINTs pursue their own goals whatever they may be. MINTs however are NOT mercenaries, bodyguards, insurgents, or otherwise swords for hire. Rather than a unified force Merchants United provides its members with contacts, information, and legitimacy, and provides its allies with business organization they can trust.

Capsuleers and corps can always consider members of Merchants Independent as being safe to approach and reliable professionals!

If this is the way you would like to do business, consider asking to join the organization. New members will begin as recruits, regardless of Eve experience or power. Only through a perfect record of trustworthiness and a sustained upholding of MINT principles over time can someone be added to the roster of full members and recieve Merchants Independant's full guaruntee of reliability and professionalism.

The following rules are expected to be upheld by MINTs at all times without exception. Breach of these rules even once will result in expulsion from the guild and blacklisting from MINT dealings. If you ever experience a case where a MINT breaks a principle Merchants Independant would be extremely interested to hear about it, and more than happy to compensate you for your trouble (though players should always be more cauteous with MINT recruits who have not yet earned the MINT reputation).

MINT's principles are as follows:

1. Any agreement or deal with recorded terms is to be treated as sacred. A MINT should treat a promise no different than a contractual agreement if the terms of that promise were clear. Consider commitments carefully, as any broken deal is absolutely forbidden.

2. Never a dagger in hand. MINTs must never attack another capsuleer, regardless of their allegience. In situations of self defence MINT should never kill an enemy who they can escape from or secure surrender.

3. Merchants United harbours no spies. Selling information or using professional dealings as a cover to glean intel for another group is explicitely forbidden.

Merchants Independant doesn't give warnings or second chances for breaching these rules, they are absolute.

Finally, as a 'soft' fourth rule members are expected to foster high regard and good favour in all dealings. Even if a group for whatever reason chooses to take Merchants Independant as an enemy they are expected to be shown a civil and professional front. MINTs who antagonize or swindle can expect to have their status as a member revoked.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

MINTs with full membership status and Merchants Independant's guaruntee of reliability:

-Tumbles
