Welcome to the 12 Assault Unit <br><br>In December 2017, the Director of Naval Intelligence authorised the formation of a Special Intelligence Unit, composed of Explorers, Miners and a PVP support fleet. The Special Intelligence Unit was later renamed 12 Commando (Special Engineering Unit), and was re-designated 12 Assault Unit in January 2018. They were tasked to move ahead of advancing sleeper technology , or to undertake covert infiltrations into enemy territory to capture much needed intelligence, in the form of codes, documents, equipment or enemy personnel.
